Budget Public Hearing and Truth in Taxation Notice

Bruce Township of Chippewa County, Michigan Residents

The Bruce Township Board will hold a public hearing on the proposed township budget
for the 2026–27 fiscal year at Bruce Township Hall on
March 12, 2026, at 7:00 pm. The property tax millage rate
proposed to be levied to support the proposed budget will be a subject of this hearing.

This hearing is being held in accordance with Michigan’s Truth in Taxation
requirements under MCL 211.24e, to ensure transparency in the
township’s budgeting and tax levy process. There is no proposed increase
in the property tax millage rate for 2026. The millage rate to be levied will
not exceed the rate levied in the prior year, and no additional operating revenue
beyond the previous year’s levy is being requested.

All interested residents are encouraged to attend and participate. Public comments
and questions will be welcomed.
