Old Business: Lighthouse is putting a road into the tower. They have the electricity staked out. Lighthouse will put electricity to a meter close to the pavilion.
The inspection was held at Dunbar Park. There are a few minor things such as cutting brush that needs done.
The Supervisor talked to Mr. Eagle of the Chippewa County Road Commission about cutting brush and leaving it in the ditches. He asked the township to report to him if we see any brush being left in the ditches.
New Business: Dirk Heckman, of the Chippewa County Road Commission, would like to see some ditching and new culverts done in the Barbeau and Cottage Rd. area. The cost would be $5,950.00. Discussion followed. It was felt that this is road maintenance and it is the responsibility of the County. The Supervisor will go back to the County and find out how much is for culverts and how much is for ditching and why the homeowners don’t have to pay for the driveway culverts when they do on other roads. New culverts in driveway are the responsibility of the land owner.
Public Comments: The question was asked about the taxes on the Castagne property. The Tax Tribunal ruled in the favor of the Castagnes and Reeds. Budget adjustments will be needed for these tax refunds.
Motion was made by Avery, seconded by Rogers to adjourn the meeting. All were in favor, motion carried. The Supervisor adjourned the meeting at 7:45 p.m.
