TOWNSHIP OF BRUCE

MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING HELD ON MAY 20, 2010

              A special meeting of the Bruce Township Board was held on May 20, 2010 at the Bruce Township Hall with board members Marsh, Avery, Sawyers, Rogers and LaJoie present.  The Supervisor called the meeting to order at 12:00 noon.

              The purpose of the meeting was to clarify the wording on road millage proposals.

              Motion was made by Rogers, seconded by Avery to change the date on the resolution to renew the two road millages for 4 years.  The date would be changed from May 13, 2010 to May 20, 2010.  Roll call vote -  Yeas, Avery, Marsh, Rogers, LaJoie and Sawyers.  Nay – none.  Resolution adopted

              Motion was made by LaJoie, seconded by Rogers to adopt the new wording to  renew the two township road millages for four years.  One renewal is for 1.5 mills and the other for 1 mill.  Roll call vote – Yeas, Sawyers, Rogers, LaJoie, Avery and Marsh.   Nays – none.  The wording was adopted.

              Motion was made by Rogers, seconded by Marsh to adjourn the meeting.  All were in favor, motion carried.  The Supervisor adjourned the meeting at 12:30 p.m.
