2. Bruce Township clean-up dates announced – May 18 & 19, June 1 & 2.
Commissioner comments:
1. J. Fischer asked about what appears to be a gravel pit development near Ridge and 7 Mile. Twp. Supervisor is aware of activity and has been watching. Excavated material may be for personal use. Site will continue to be watched. J. Fischer also asked if a new view protection law had been passed. Some discussion but no clear answer available.
2. L. Little asked for and received a report on the May 17 DEQ hearing on the proposed Hetherington marina. L. Little and J. Fischer also asked about continuing problem with trash accumulation near 7 Mile and M-129. Supervisor is aware of situation and will continue to follow up.
Zoning Administrator Report – 7 zoning permits have been issued so far this year, 5 for homes. Principal work focus has been junk cleanup.
Future work planning – After work on current Zoning Ordinance amendment is complete, the Planning Commission will defer start of work on the balance of the Master Plan until early fall.
Zoning Ordinance Amendment No. 8 - Discussion on the draft of Article XIII-Districts was completed. A consensus was reached that the draft amendment is sufficiently complete to allow the public hearing to be held at the next regular meeting on June 12.
