Correction - J. Fischer
made the motion to recommend L. MacDonald for the representative on the Zoning
Board of Appeals. 2nd for that motion was B. Osborne.
Motion to accept the minutes with the above correction made by B. Gardella with
2nd by B. Osborne. Unanimous approval.
No public present.
Chairperson Comments: There was a two page article in the April 2006 Michigan
Township magazine One State, One Zoning Law”, pgs. 6-7) that discussed a proposed
law that would consolidate the three Zoning acts now on the State books. Recommended
reading for all members. Discussion on holding a public meeting 20 June to present
the Master Plan info.
Some comments on keeping the presentation brief while highlighting the major
points.
Commissioner comments: C. Person presented some wording for low impact businesses
that may e incorporated in the zoning description for industrial zoning in the
master plan.
L. Little reported Sault, Ontario will be setting up 120 wind generators in
the near future. Master Plan update: 2 handouts were distributed-Services &
Facilities and Plan Implementation sections with a couple minor changes in the
text.
Next meeting will discuss the public meeting and outline the best method to
present the plan to the public.
Other business: There have been requests for 2 Zoning Permits which is down
from last year at this time. Chairman has updated forms for Zoning and Special
Land Use Permits Motion for adjournment by C. Marsh, 2nd by B. Osborne.
