Approval of minutes: Motion by b. Gardella, 2^nd B. Osborne to approve minutes of 6 March 2007.

Minutes approved unanimously.

Public comment: no Public present

Chairperson comments: 17^th April 2007 there will be a DEQ Public Hearing concerning the proposed marina (Hetherington property) at Sawmill Point.

2. Next meeting of the Planning Commission is moved to Wednesday 9^th of May 2007 as the school election is scheduled for Tuesday at the Hall.

3. Two commissioners are up for re-appointment at the Thursday Township Board meeting. L. Little and C. Person have agreed to extend their terms.

Commissioner comments: L. Little presented information concerning current law on land splits as they affect water and zoning issues. Copies for commissioners to review.

J. Fischer expressed concern that the stipulations regarding the reclamation plan presented by Burton Excavating be included on the permit form, not just in letter form. Discussion followed. No action taken.

2. FYI: Mackinac County has prepared a county Master Plan. J. Fischer will keep us informed.

3. FYI: Petoskey had a court case concerning sexually orientated business as reported on T.V. Our current ordinances cover such businesses. Discussion on that particular business which is required to be 1000 feet from a residence.

Zoning Ordinance: Discussion on the draft of Article XIII-Districts. Some of the general provisions in the ordinance may have to be modified so the district requirements and general provisions do not conflict.
