Little will be up for re-appointment.

Amendments to the zoning ordinance need to be placed on the website.

Upcoming election for Road Commission millage renewal also discussed.

MTA Annual Meeting: L.MacDonald, D. Gallagher, and C. Marsh reported on the MTA meeting - "it was well worth the trip".  In Michigan forests, 9% needs cutting.  In order to meet that target, 50% more trees need to be harvested.  Due to the restructuring of the DEQ it is very cumbersome and costly at this time.

(GIS) Geographic Information System could be a very valuable resource for the township. Dan will discuss with the county.

Master Plan Update:  Service and Facilities - Ambulance service, Fire protection, Churches, Commercial/Industrial activities, Construction, Propane Supply, Parks and Recreation were discussed

D. Gallagher talked about the proposed boat launch site at Nine Mile Road. Needs approval of the DEQ.

Water and Sewage provisions were also discussed. No aquifer contamination measured in township.  Possibly due to high clay content of land.

Look at Bay Mills and Clark Township provisions - same types of issues

Master Plan Implementation Proposals: Plan to discuss at March meeting.

Other business-None

Adjourn: C. Marsh made motion L. Little seconded.

B Osborne – Assistant Secretary
