Zoning Administrator report: Activity has quieted down as the construction season draws to a close.

There was 1 modular home permit issued and there were 9 remodeling permits issued. 47 permits were issued this year to date which equals the number issued last year at this time. One complaint was received concerning junk on property and it was resolved to the satisfaction of all parties.

J. Fischer asked if a summary of granted permits could continue to be presented to the commission. ZA replied that printer problems prevented the list from being given to commissioners this session.

Chairperson comments: The MTA annual meeting to be held in January was discussed and commissioners were asked if anyone was interested in attending. B. Osborne indicated interest and L. Little and C. Person indicated possible interest.

Commissioner comments: No comment.

Discussion followed concerning minor signs in residential areas where property owners believe a need exists. Conclusion was reached to amend the ordinance to allow a 2’x3’non-illuminated sign located back from established set back lines of the property. If at any time the activity ends the signs are to be removed. Regular permit applications will be required. Chair shall draft proposed ordinance change. Master Plan phase 1 future land use map was re-examined and two changes in land use designation were proposed. Change to AG/Residential for the area along Nicolet and Lower Hay Lake Road from 7 mile to 91/2 mile and the area from 9 1/2 mile to 11 1/2 mile on M-129. These changes can be incorporated in the phase 2 plan if considered appropriate. Next meeting the 8 and 9 mile area, Shunk over to Ridge and possibly Riverside shall be examined for zoning district assignment. Future land trends are considered for district designation.

Other business: A definition of Feedlot needs to be added to the ordinance. Chair will research.

No Public present for comment.

Motion to adjourn by B. Osborne, 2nd by J. Fischer. Meeting adjourned 8:40pm.

Respectfully submitted. Carolyn Person, Secretary
