Bruce Township Planning Commission
November 11, 2008

Attendance
All members of the commission were present along with M. Pins, C. Marsh and several township residents.
Call to Order
The November meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm by Chairperson C. Person.
Pledge of Allegiance
C. Person led the meeting with the pledge with business to follow.
Approval of Agenda
After the commission reviewed the agenda and added one item the commission approved the agenda.
Approval of Oct. 7, 2008 Meeting Minutes.
L. Little moved to accept the minutes.  J. Hillock seconded and the commission cast a unanimous ballot.
Public Comments
None at this time
Zoning Administrator
No permits were issued and none were sought.  There was one infraction.

Commissioner Comments
None at this time.
Gravel Pit Update
M. Pins handed out Mining and Mineral Extraction information.  The commission will review this information and review present ordnances and come up with a set that will bring the township up to present management uses.  The township will depend on the Federal and State laws, rules and regulations and will call on these organizations to enforce all of these.
Fence
M. Pins sent letter stating this fence was in violation of being over 6 foot high.  This fence was constructed as an experiment for wind/snow break.  The commission is requesting that the person come to the December meeting to discuss with the commission about his plans and apply for a special land use if need be before he is in violation on Dec. 27, 2008.
Recreational Structure
A new meaning was presented to the commission to review.  The commission will review this and be ready to comment on this at next meeting.
Public Comment
Discussion followed on the fence issue.   The commission will know more after the resident comes and discusses this matter with them.
Adjourn
With no more business to come before the commission D. Rogers moved to adjourn at 9:30 pm.  L. Little seconded and the commission cast a unanimous ballot.
Next Meeting Date
The next meeting will be December 9, 2008 at 7:00 pm. the location will be at the Bruce Township Hall located on 12 Mile Road
